It is a small town so I don't expect a stellar selection. It's a nice little library, the staff doesn't seem very welcoming, especially when I bring my kids.
This is an incredible library for such a small community. Visitors from out of town let us know how impressed they are that we have a library like this in the Village of Marion. We have a beautiful children's section where the children are warmly welcomed to indulge in reading, along with puppets, puzzles and lots of other activities that are available. We have a wonderful collection of reading materials. Our library is very community-minded and we provide support for our customers, whether suggesting and helping pick out books to providing assistance with the internet. We may be a small community, but we're big on providing wonderful services. Come and visit the Marion Public Library today!
The Alice Chapin Memorial Library (a.k.a. Marion Public Library) gave away 400 free books this spring! Children's picture books, novels for young adults and adults! It was amazing. The librarian is very helpful with those who can't find a particular book or need assistance using the eight computers avilable to the public. It's a remarkable library for a small farm town.
